International Walk to School day was a fun event for students of the Moscow Middle School.
Approximately 20 students volunteered to help the morning of, to hand out Clif Bars, facilitate the activities set up on the tables, and hold signs by D St.
We had 1 table set up at each of the 3 entrances. At the 6th grade entrance we had a large laminated poster made with a map of the city. We asked the students to draw with a dry-erase pen their routes to school. This table was surrounded by students talking about their routes and marking them. An 8th grade student helped hand out the Clif Bars to students who either walked, or drew out their route.
At the 7th grade door, we had students sign the banner that Clif Bar sent us, and write on paper, why they like walking to school.
At the 8th grade door, we had students guess the We walk for iWalk
