Raffle tickets were distributed by 10 Environmental Action club and other Jr. High student volunteers. Their help made all the difference to make this event our best yet at the Jr. High as effectiveness and support was much higher than ever before. The art department created two active travel posters ahead of time which were filled in piece by piece the morning of the iWalk by students who walked and biked. Their individual contributions made the poster complete. Raffle ticket prizes will be given out at the next school dance. An active travel message was written on the sidewalk on the South Side of the building. Students and UI volunteers also helped by holding posters encouraging students to walk and cards to slow down for pedestrians and bikers.
